Implementation and cleanup

Pendo set up right, or set right again

Whether you are launching Pendo for the first time or inheriting an instance nobody trusts, we install, tag, name, and govern it so your team can keep it running without us.

Who this is for

Three situations we see every week

Most implementation work is not a rebuild. It is finishing a setup that was never finished, then making sure it stays finished.

Launching Pendo for the first time

You just signed. You want the install, the tagging plan, and the first guides done correctly from day one, with a naming standard your team will actually follow.

Inheriting an instance

The admin left. Hundreds of untagged pages, guides nobody remembers, segments with mystery names. You need to know what you actually have before you trust any of it.

Fixing a broken setup

Pendo is installed but the data is unreliable, the dashboards disagree with each other, and three teams fire guides at the same users. You need governance, not more features.

What we do

Install, clean, govern

Every piece is built so your team can run it after we leave. Nothing lives only in our heads.

Install and data model

Snippet placement, visitor and account metadata, and the integrations that make Pendo data match your CRM.

  • Agent install reviewed on every app surface
  • Metadata map: which fields come from where
  • Salesforce or HubSpot connection checked end to end

Tagging and naming cleanup

Pages and features tagged to match how your product actually works, named so anyone on the team can find them in six months.

  • Tag audit: duplicates, orphans, and gaps
  • Naming standard written down and applied
  • Core events and segments rebuilt on the standard

Governance and ownership

Who can publish a guide, who owns which tags, and how Product, CS, and Marketing stop messaging the same user at once.

  • Ownership model across teams
  • Guide calendar and approval path
  • Playbook your next admin can follow

First guides, tested

Onboarding and the two or three guides that matter most, launched as experiments and measured before we call them done.

  • Onboarding flow built on the new data model
  • Each guide tested to statistical significance
  • Results report your leadership can read

Ninety days from kickoff to a clean, governed instance with the first guides live and tested. The audit and plan take the first month; the build and cleanup take the next six weeks; the last two weeks are handover and training.

Almost never. We audit what exists, keep what is sound, rebuild the tags and segments that are not, and apply a naming standard across all of it. Starting over throws away history you will want for trend reporting.

A done-right implementation starts at $5,000 per month for a minimum 90-day engagement. If you want the blueprint only and will build it yourselves, audit and strategy consulting starts at $2,500. Details are on the process and pricing page.

A product owner for decisions, whoever administers Pendo today, and someone from Customer Success. About two hours a week from each during the build, less after handover.
